The Cleaning Company | Website & Logo Design

BJ Creative was tasked by Groovy Foods to build a new website to showcase their expanding business. Their existing website was in need of a refresh to attract new customers and to reflect more of their business branding.

We began the project by working up some design concepts for Rachel & Duncan to take a look at. We came up with four key designs that shared a single core, but were vastly different in their look and feel.

Once Rachel and Duncan had seen the initial designs, they immediately liked one of them and so the build of the site could start. Using a testing site, as each stage of the build was completed, Rachel and Duncan were able to view the additions and make comments before the next stage was completed.

Web Design

The site has been built using ASP.NET 3.5. There was a restriction on the hosting that prevented us from using ASP.NET 4.0, but we managed to work past this and provide the solution that was required by the client.

Launch Date

The launch date was always open, and as the business got busier and busier, this became pushed further and further back. We placed a holding page up on the site so that the new look and feel would be seen by the current customers and so that any new customers could recognise the logo that was not previously used on the old site.

The Build

We built the site using ASP.NET 3.5 and incorporated a contact page and used Master Pages throughout the site. This enabled faster amending of the details that were used throughout, such as the social media links.

Social Media

Groovy Foods uses Facebook heavily to communicate with their customers and followers. To this end, they wanted their posts to feature prominently on the site, so we created a custom script that was able to pull feeds straight to the site.

The site was initially hosted by BJ Creative on our server so that changes could be amended quickly at our end and this also then enabled us to managed the domains chosen for the website.
